We’re part of the Rotary in London (District 1130), which has 62 clubs throughout London, and approximately 1300 members. It’s a fantastic organisation and there are plenty of opportunities to meet, network, support and attend other Rotary clubs and charities.
We meet most weeks. We have a very active schedule of fundraising events (ie we organise the Chigwell Village Fete, Kids Out, sponsored swim, special needs children’s Christmas party, various bucket collections, monthly Memory Cafe, Loughton Food Bank volunteering, Stroke Awareness Day, Diabetes collection, Quizzes, concerts etc) and various community service.
You can attend as many or as few of the meetings/fellowships as your time allows (we hope you can attend 1-2 a month) and we hope you’ll support as many of the the fundraising events as possible, but again no obligation.
We have four main service goals: international, community, vocational and youth projects. You can get involved with any or all the service areas.
There’s so much more.
You’d be very warmly welcome in our club, it’s mixed gender with a very good spread of ages and ethnicity. Join us at any of our weekly fellowships or events without any commitment.
We usually meet at the Blue Boar, Abridge RM4 1UA on Thursdays 6.15pm for 6.30pm start. Please let me know if you’re attending as our schedule is subject to change.
