I am contacting you regarding a volunteering opportunity in Epping Forest which I hope will be of interest to your members.

Every September, thousands of people join together for the Alzheimer’s Society flagship event: Memory Walk. Volunteers are vital to making these events happen.

We are looking for volunteers to support our flagship Epping Forest Memory Walk on Sunday 15th September http://www.memorywalk.org.uk

There will also be opportunities to get involved with some of the organisation and local marketing of the Memory Walk in the run up to the event.

You will assist with activities on the day, such as:

    – setting up and dismantling the site

    – acting as an information point

    – registering and helping walkers

    – marshalling

    – helping to run stalls and refreshment areas

You will be supported by the Memory Walk Project Team leader and the Community Fundraiser Jane Foster.

Please email Meghan Booth to register your interest at: meghan.booth@alzheimers.org.uk

If you would prefer to take part in the walk then please find more information here: http://www.memorywalk.org.uk/

I would be grateful if you could pass this information on to your members.

    Many thanks

    Dear all,

Thank you so very much for the wonderful welcome you gave Archie & I last Thursday. We were both overwhelmed and felt such a part of you club.

Thank you for the lovely gift of £100 to help support Archie and his vision to help the family of 6 people in Romania. September is so close and we cannot believe that Archie will soon be in Romania!

We both look forward to meeting you all again and hopefully many more times as well. You truly are lovely people.

Thank you to Pesh for listening to us on the High Street at Loughton and to Tony who excepted us along with the members of the club. Lastly for the lovely speech of thanks.

Until we meet again very, very soon.

    Karla & Archie

Many thanks from Chigwell Riding Trust for Special Needs for the Quiz Night held the other evening on Grange Farm. It raised over £500 which was fantastic. Also many thanks to all those who attended. A good time was had by all 🙂
